DARK MATTER, MATTERS

No rain last week but we did get a double rainbow over downtown Los Angeles!

Rainbows are fascinating to me. The colors are so vivid yet translucent.
All seven colors of the spectrum can be seen;
violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red,
but they interfuse so that only four or five are clear.
And sometimes there's a rare instance, such as in the pic below
where a larger and less distinct "secondary" bow is seen with the colors reversed.

An interesting fact:
The rainbow is mentioned in the Bible as representing serenity and peace and is associated with God.
Serenity and peace. Just what the world needs right now. Wouldn't you agree?

Ever wondered if God exists and if so, what he might look like in heaven?
Although God is a spirit, you can find a description of how he appeared to an apostle
in the Bible book of Revelation 1:4.

"A throne was in its position in heaven, and someone was seated on the throne.
And the One seated had the appearance of a jasper stone and a sardius stone,
and all around the throne was a rainbow like an emerald in appearance."

To some, that description of God might seem fantastical or exorbitant.
But here's the thing, it's not just him that's amazing, but also where he lives.
I'm not talking about the heavens that we see but what we can't see.
Scientists know that 95% of the Universe is invisible. Talk about fantastical!
There's dark matter which makes up about 27% of the Universe
along with an unseen repellant force that has been labelled "dark energy."
Current models say it makes up about 68% of the Universe.
That leaves us with a paltry 5% for humanity. :)

As always, feel free to leave your thoughts on this or anything else.
